Step 1: Prepare the Solution

The first step to removing berry stains from cotton voile is to prepare a cleaning solution. Fill a bowl with lukewarm water and mix in a few drops of mild liquid detergent. Stir the mixture until it has a sudsy texture.

Step 2: Soak the Stain

Immerse the stained area of the cotton voile in the cleaning solution. Let it soak for at least 15 minutes before moving on to next step.

Step 3: Scrub the Stain Gently

Using a soft-bristled toothbrush, scrub the stained area using a gentle circular motion. Pay special attention to edges of stain, as this is where most of residue will be located. Be careful not to scrub too hard, as you don’t want to risk damaging the fabric.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry

Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cold water. Then, lay the fabric out on a clean towel and let it air dry. Do not put the cotton voile in the dryer until you are sure that the stain has been completely removed.
