Tackle Fresh Spills Quickly

When it comes to stain removal, speed is key. So when you have a fresh spill, move quickly to prevent the berry juice from setting into the fabric. Start by blotted the excess juice with a paper towel. Then rinse stained area with cold water and gently press out more of the liquid. Do not rub or scrub the stain as this can force it deeper into the fabric.

Use a Detergent and Soap Solution

Once the majority of the liquid has been removed, you can use a detergent and soap solution to get rid of the stain. Mix one tablespoon of liquid dish detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water. Soak the stained area for about 15 minutes and then blot it again with a paper towel. Rinse it well with cool water and repeat the process if necessary.

Apply Hydrogen Peroxide

If the stain still won't come out, try applying hydrogen peroxide. Start by mixing equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and water. Apply the mixture directly to the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes. Blot off mixture with a paper towel and then add a bit of mild detergent or dishwashing liquid to the stain and rub gently. Rinse the area with cool water and repeat if necessary.

Wash the Shirt

Once the stain is gone, put the shirt in the washer on the cold-water cycle. Make sure to avoid hot water or a dryer, as these can set stain. Wash shirt by itself or with other items that are similar in color. After it's done, hang it up to air-dry.
