What You'll Need

  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar
  • Mild dish soap
  • Microfiber cloth

Instructions

  1. Mix baking soda with enough water to make a thick paste. It should have the consistency of toothpaste.
  2. Apply the paste directly to the stain and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Lightly brush paste off with a microfiber cloth.
  4. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar and 1 tablespoon of mild dish soap.
  5. Soak a microfiber cloth in the mixture and then apply it to the stained area.
  6. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  7. Rinse off the mixture with cold water.
  8. Launder as usual.

Extra Tips

  • If the stain is still visible after multiple tries, try soaking the briefs overnight in a mixture of 1 tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent and 1 quart of warm water.
  • If you don't have baking soda on hand, you can also use salt instead.
  • Try using a specialized stain remover if above methods don't work or if the stain is particularly stubborn.
