First, you'll want to gather the supplies you'll need for this task. You'll need laundry detergent, white vinegar, a sponge, a toothbrush, cold water, and baking soda. If the stain is particularly stubborn, you may want to add some rubbing alcohol to the mix.
Next, use cold water to rinse stained area. This will help loosen any dirt or debris that might be embedded in the fabric of the Battenberg lace. Be sure to do this gently, so as to not stretch or damage the delicate fabric.
After rinsing, apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly onto the stained area. Let detergent sit for a few minutes to help break down the berry stains. If stain doesn't seem to be responding, try adding a bit of rubbing alcohol to detergent.
Once the detergent has had a chance to take effect, get a damp sponge or use a toothbrush to gently scrub the stained area. Focus on making small circular motions, and try not to rub too hard as this could damage fabric.
Once you've finished scrubbing, rinse the area with cold water to remove any remaining detergent residue. You should see some of berry stains start to disappear.
Now create a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts cold water. Dip a soft cloth into solution, then gently dab the stained area. This should help start to lift the remaining berry stains.
Finally, sprinkle a bit of baking soda onto affected area and let it sit for a few minutes. Then simply brush away the baking soda and check to make sure that berry stains are gone. If all else fails, you can try repeating steps four through seven until the stains completely disappear.
