If you love eating fresh berries during the summer, you know the struggle of trying to get those stains off your clothes, towels, and of course, shoes. And if you’re an avid ASICS wearer, you want to make sure you keep them looking good as new.

Getting berry stains out of your ASICS can be tricky. Berries like raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries release powerful pigments that are difficult to remove. But it can be done with a few simple steps.

Things You’ll Need

  • Old toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • White vinegar
  • Dish soap
  • Spray bottle
  • Warm water

Steps for Removing Berry Stains from ASICS

  1. Mix together equal parts of toothpaste and white vinegar in a bowl.
  2. Using an old toothbrush, apply this paste to the stained area of the shoe.
  3. Rub the paste gently into the stain. Focus on scrubbing just the area of fabric or shoe that has been stained.
  4. Rinse off the toothpaste/vinegar mixture with warm water. (Do not use hot water - this can damage your shoes!)
  5. Mix together warm water and a little dish soap in a spray bottle. Shake well.
  6. Spray the stained area with the soapy solution.
  7. Using the toothbrush, scrub at the area until the stain starts to come out. Be gentle!
  8. Once the stain is gone, rinse area with warm water and let the shoes dry naturally. Do not put them in the dryer!

And there you have it! By following these steps, you should be able to quickly and easily remove any berry stains from your beloved ASICS shoes.

FAQs

Can I use hot water?

No - hot water can damage the fabric of your shoes. Stick with warm water and you'll be just fine.

Can I put my shoes in the dryer?

No - only air-dry your ASICS after cleaning. Putting them in the dryer will cause them to shrink and the shoe material can become damaged.
