Step 1: Rinse the Stain with Cold Water

If stain is still wet, rinse it with cold water for a few moments to try and flush out any lingering berry juice. This can be done with either a spray bottle or by running it under cold water in the sink.

Step 2: Apply a Stain Removing Solution

Using a pre-made stain removing solution or a mixture of liquid soap and white vinegar, work the solution into stain using a cloth or brush. If you're using a pre-made solution, it's important to double check that the solution doesn't contain bleaching agents, which could damage fabric.

Step 3: Use a Stain Pencil

In some cases, a stain pencil can be used to treat stubborn berry stains. Dip the stain pencil in warm water and then rub it gently against the stained area until the staining as lifted. Be careful not to rub too hard and ruin the fabric, however.

Step 4: Let the Garment Air Dry

Once you've finished treating the stain, let the garment air dry completely before laundering. This will ensure that stain is completely removed and won't reappear when the garment is washed.
