Gather Supplies

Before you can tackle removing berry stains from acrylic, make sure you have the right supplies on hand. You’ll need a soft cloth, mild detergent, rubbing alcohol, and a non-abrasive sponge. It’s important that you use only non-abrasive materials to clean the acrylic so that you don’t scratch or damage the surface.

Step 1: Test on a Small Area

It’s smart to start by testing your cleaning method on a small, inconspicuous area before trying it on the entire stain. This will ensure that cleaning method won’t damage the acrylic and give you a chance to adjust if necessary.

Step 2: Remove Excess Berry Stain

With a dry, soft cloth, gently remove any excess berry stain from the surface of the acrylic. Take care not to press too hard and scratch surface.

Step 3: Clean with Detergent

Mix a mild detergent with water to make a soapy solution. Use a non-abrasive sponge to gently scrub the stained area. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth afterward.

Step 4: Treat with Rubbing Alcohol

For stubborn berry stains, try treating the area with rubbing alcohol. Dip a corner of a soft cloth in the rubbing alcohol and blot the stained area. Don’t rub or scrub, as this may damage the acrylic surface. If a stain remains, repeat this step until it starts to fade. Finish by rinsing and drying area.
