Start by applying a stain remover directly onto stain. Don't rub it in; simply blot it over the surface of the material. Let it sit for 10 minutes or so, then rinse it off with warm water.
Blot the area with a cloth dipped in warm, soapy water. You can also try making a paste of liquid dishwashing detergent and baking soda, and rubbing it onto stain. Let the paste soak for 30 minutes before rinsing with warm water.
Mix one cup of white vinegar and one cup of water in a bowl. Apply mixture to the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. Blot the area with a cloth until the stain is gone. Be sure to rinse the area afterward with warm water.
Once stain is gone, rinse the fabric with cold water and allow it to air dry. If any stubborn stains remain, repeat the steps above until fabric is clean.
