Pre-treatment

Before cleaning, apply a small amount of mild detergent directly to the stain and let it sit for around 5 minutes. This will help break down the stain and make it easier to remove.

Washing Machine Cycle

Next, place the voile into the washing machine and select a gentle cycle. Make sure the water temperature is set at either lukewarm or cold, as hot water may cause the stain to spread or become more deeply set in. Once cycle is complete, hang the voile to dry.

Additional Spot Treatments

If you're left with any stubborn stains, you may need to apply some additional spot treatments. Mix together a cup of water with half a tablespoon of liquid dishwashing soap or laundry detergent. Dip a soft bristled toothbrush into the mixture and scrub the stained area. Then rinse off with lukewarm water and hang the voile to dry.
