Step 1 - Blot with Cold Water

As soon as you recognize stain, begin blotting the area with cold water right away. The key is to act fast before the stains seep into the fibers of your clothing. Soak a clean cloth or paper towel in cold water and lightly press it against the spot. Determine if stain is still present after several minutes of light blotting. If so, proceed to the next step.

Step 2 - Apply Stain Remover

After blotting the stain with cold water, pick a stain remover specifically designed for bbq sauce and apply it directly to spot. Rub the cleaner gently around area using a soft cloth, taking care not to cause any fading or discoloration to the surrounding fabric. Allow the stain remover to settle for five minutes before continuing.

Step 3 - Rinse Away Stain

Once the stain remover has been given a few minutes to settle, rinse it away using cold water. Be sure to completely submerge the stained area in water and agitate it gently to help remove any stubborn barbecue sauce. With the stain remover washed away, check to see if the mark is still visible. If it is, repeat the process.

Step 4 - Wash and Dry

Once the stain has been removed, throw your Versace into the washing machine and launder it normally. Make sure to hang it up to dry as soon as it’s done washing, as doing so will reduce the risk of the stain setting in. Enjoy your freshly-cleaned cloth!
