What You Will Need:

  • A detergent or mild soap
  • A soft brush
  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Paper towels

Step 1: Scrape Off Excess Sauce

The quickest and easiest way to get rid of excess sauce is by scraping it off with a spoon or butter knife. Be sure to scrape gently to avoid damaging the fabric.

Step 2: Pre-Treat With Detergent or Soap

Mix a small amount of detergent or mild soap with warm water and use a soft brush to work the mixture into the stain. Let it sit for about 10 minutes before rinsing out the soapy residue with cold water.

Step 3: Apply Vinegar and Baking Soda

Mix equal parts white vinegar and baking soda and apply the mixture to the stain. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes before wiping off the paste with a damp cloth.

Step 4: Wash the Area

Wash the area with warm water and a mild detergent or laundry soap and scrub the area with a soft brush. Rinse with cool water and dry with paper towels.
