Before you begin, make sure you have these supplies on hand:
Start by dampening stained area of the umbrella with a bucket of warm water. This will help loosen any debris that is stuck to the fabric.
Next, apply a small amount of mild dish detergent to the stained area. Using a soft nylon brush, gently scrub detergent into the fabric. Be sure to only use gentle pressure when scrubbing, as too much pressure can damage fabric.
Once the detergent has been applied and scrubbed into fabric, rinse stained area with clean, cool water. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove all residue from the detergent.
Once the stained area has been rinsed and is free of residue, dry umbrella with a soft cloth. If the stain persists, repeat Steps 2-5 until stain has been removed.
By following these easy steps, you'll be able to get rid of those pesky barbecue sauce stains from your umbrella. Now you can enjoy having a clean umbrella again!
