What You'll Need
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- a clean toothbrush
- Paper towels
- Ballpoint pen
- Fresh water
- Leather cleaners (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Let the sauce dry. Don't attempt to wipe off the stain while it's still wet - that will just spread it around.
- Scrape off any excess sauce from the fabric with a ballpoint pen. This will remove any remaining pieces that are still stuck to the suede.
- Using a clean toothbrush, mix a teaspoon of baking soda and two tablespoons of white vinegar in a bowl.
- Dab the mixture on the stained area of the suede with toothbrush and gently scrub in a circular motion.
- Blot the stain with a paper towel, making sure not to rub. Repeat this process until the stain is completely removed.
- Rinse the area with fresh water to get rid of baking soda residue.
- Leave the suede to air dry naturally before wearing it.
Additional Tips
- If the stain persists after following the steps above, consider using a leather cleaner to further clean the suede.
- Treat suede with a waterproofing spray after cleaning it to prevent future stains.
