Removing Wet BBQ Sauce Stain

  1. Start by blotting up as much sauce as possible using a white cloth or paper towel. Do not scrub the stained area, as that could cause the stain to set in.
  2. Mix a small amount of a mild detergent like dish soap with lukewarm water in a bowl.
  3. Soak a portion of the cloth or paper towel in the soapy water, and gently dab at the stain until it's gone.
  4. Rinse the area with fresh water, then blot with a dry cloth or paper towel.
  5. Allow the garment to air dry completely.

Removing Dried BBQ Sauce Stain

  1. Create a paste using a small amount of salt and enough white vinegar to form a thick slurry.
  2. Gently rub paste into the stained area, taking care to not rub too hard.
  3. Let the paste sit for at least thirty minutes.
  4. Remove the paste with a damp cloth and rinse the area with fresh water.
  5. Allow the garment to air dry completely.
