Carefully blot the barbecue sauce stain with a damp cloth or paper towel. Don’t rub or scrub; this will only spread the stain and may damage the fabric.
Mix together a solution of one tablespoon of white vinegar, one tablespoon of liquid dish soap, and two cups of warm water. Use a cloth to pre-treat the stain with this solution. Soak stain for about 10 minutes.
Wash fabric as you usually would. Peeriodically check the stain throughout the washing cycle. If any evidence of the stain remains, repeat steps one through three as necessary.
