  • Mild detergent
  • White cloth or towel
  • Bowl
  • White vinegar
  • Salt
  • Olive oil

The Process

  1. Begin by wetting the stained area with cold water.
  2. Next, create a cleaning solution using mild detergent and cool water. Mix 1 teaspoon of detergent in a small bowl filled with 1/4 cup of cool water.
  3. Soak a white cloth or towel in the cleaning solution, then blot the stained area until stain starts to lighten.
  4. Create a new solution using 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, 1 tablespoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of cool water. Mix these ingredients together in a small bowl.
  5. Soak a new white cloth or towel in this solution and use it to gently scrub the stained area. The stain should begin to lift.
  6. Now, create a final solution using 1 part olive oil and 1 part cool water. Soak a clean white cloth or towel in this solution and use it to remove any remaining residue.
  7. Rinse the scarf with warm water and let it air dry.
