The best way to tackle barbecue sauce stains is to act quickly. Blot up any excess sauce with a clean cloth or paper towel. Do not rub the stain, as this could cause it to spread or become difficult to remove. Once you have soaked up most of the sauce, it's time to treat the stain.

If the sarong is washable, mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Soak the stained area in the solution for about 30 minutes, and then rinse it with cold water. Alternatively, dilute a mild detergent in warm water and soak the stain for a few minutes. Then, gently rub the affected area with a soft cloth and rinse it with cold water.

If the sarong is not washable, you can try using a spot remover. Make sure to read the instructions carefully before applying it to the stain to make sure it's suitable for the fabric. Rub the product into the stained area and let it sit for a few minutes before blotting it dry with a soft cloth.

Once the stain is gone, hang the sarong up to dry. Avoid tumble drying it as this could set stain and make it harder to remove.
