Whether you have daredevil ambitions to become a human BBQ rib or have simply misjudged the power of your favorite sauce, we've got you covered. Here's a step-by-step guide to getting rid of barbecue sauce stains on your Puma shoes.
The first step in cleaning your Puma shoes is to get rid of as much of the barbecue sauce as possible. Take a paper towel or a tissue and dab gently at the stained area. This should help to remove any excess sauce that is not yet absorbed into the fabric of the shoe.
Once you have removed as much of the sauce as possible, mix a few drops of detergent with some warm water. Use a soft cloth or sponge to apply the mixture to the stained area and leave it to soak for 10 minutes.
After the stain has had time to soak, rinse it with cold water and then leave the shoe to air dry. Do not put the shoes in the washing machine or tumble dryer.
If the stain still remains after the first three steps, then you can try applying a specialized stain remover. You can find these in most supermarkets or online. Test the stain remover on a small area first to make sure there are no adverse reactions.
If all else fails, then you can try using baking soda. Sprinkle some baking soda onto a damp cloth and then rub it into the stained area. Leave it for 10 minutes before rinsing off with cold water.
No one likes dealing with stubborn stains, but thankfully, there are ways to get rid of barbecue sauce stains from your Puma shoes. Follow the steps above and you should be able to restore your shoes to their former glory.
