Removing BBQ sauce from overalls is a relatively straightforward process. The most important thing is to act quickly before the stain sets in and becomes more difficult to remove. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
If vinegar and detergent do not work, there are a few other solutions that you can try. Rubbing alcohol is a good option, as well as laundry pre-treatment sprays. Both should be used sparingly and should be tested in an inconspicuous spot on the overalls beforehand.
When dealing with BBQ sauce stains, heat is your enemy. Hot water and hot air can cause stains to set in, making them harder to remove. Stick to cold water and cold air when working on the stains and keep laundry settings as low as possible.
