Step 1: Scrape Off Excess Sauce

Before you start cleaning the stain, use a butter knife to scrape off any excess barbecue sauce. Careful not to spread the stain further, or rub it in. Make sure to move blade away from the fabric as you scrape, and never towards it.

Step 2: Rub in a Stain Remover

Once you've scraped off the majority of the sauce, put a small amount of a strong stain remover onto the area. Use your fingers to gently rub the remover into the fabric, then let it sit for about 15 minutes.

Step 3: Wash Gently in Cold Water

Finally, make sure your washing machine is set to cold water for this gentle cycle. Add a bit of detergent, then let the machine take care of the rest! Once the cycle is finished, hang your nylon item outside in the sun to dry.
