What You'll Need:
- A clean cloth
- Liquid detergent
- White vinegar
- Oxygen-based bleach
- Soft brush
Step 1: Blotting
Take a clean cloth and press it against the stained area. Do not rub it against fabric as it can spread the stain further. For bigger stains, repeat a few times, until the cloth isn't absorbing as much sauce anymore.
Step 2: Enzyme Detergent
Mix liquid detergent and water, to make a solution that is gentle on fabric. Place the stained fabric in mixture and let it soak for 15 minutes. Once the fabric has had enough time to absorb the solution, rinse off the excess liquid and let it air-dry.
Step 3: Vinegar
Mix white vinegar and water in a bowl and submerge the stained fabric in solution. Let it soak for 10 minutes, before rinsing it off with cold water.
Step 4: Oxygen-Based Bleach
Mix oxygen-based bleach and water, and transfer the solution to a spray bottle. Spray stained area of fabric and leave it to soak for 10 minutes. After the fabric has had enough time to absorb the solution, gently scrub it with a soft brush. Rinse off the excess liquid and launder fabric in cold water.
Step 5: Hang to Dry
Once the fabric has been rinsed off completely, hang it in an open space to air-dry. Do not use a dryer or an iron, as they may cause the stain to set further into the fabric.
