If area of your lawn where the BBQ sauce has spilled is relatively small, you can quickly and easily remove the sauce with a push broom or rake. Be sure to use a stiff bristle brush to avoid smearing the sauce around on your grass. Scrub area in an up and down motion until all the sauce is removed.
Mix 1 tablespoon of salt with one cup of boiling water and pour it over the area where the BBQ sauce has spilled. You should notice stain start to dissipate right away. If the stain remains, wait about 20 minutes and scrub area again with a push broom or rake.
Another method for acquiring barbecue sauce stains from lawns is to use a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Mix one part baking soda with one part vinegar, then pour it over the stained area. Let it sit for about 15 minutes and then scrub the area with a brush. This should remove the stain from your lawn.
Once you've scrubbed the area with a push broom or rake, or used the vinegar and baking soda solution, rinse the area with cold water. This will help to ensure all of the cleaning solution is removed from your lawn.
