To start, create a mixture that is equal parts dish soap and white vinegar in a bowl. Stir the solution until it is completely blended. It’s important to use a mild soap, so choose something like a liquid dishwashing detergent.
Next, take a soft cloth and dampen it with the solution. Then, gently rub it on the barbecue sauce stain. Use only a small amount of pressure and work in circles. Continue rubbing until stain begins to fade. Be sure to use only a tiny amount of the mixture, as too much can cause the fabric to become saturated.
Once stain has faded, rinse the spot with cold water. This will help remove any leftover solution and prevent any colour transfer. Gently press down on the area to help push out the remaining moisture. Then, lay jeans flat to air dry.
If the stain is still visible after rinsing, repeat the above steps until the stain has been completely removed. If the stain persists, use a few drops of bleach or a white vinegar and baking soda paste to help lift stain away.
