Instructions

  1. Blot the area immediately with a damp cloth or paper towel to help reduce the amount of BBQ sauce absorbed by the fabric.
  2. Gently rub liquid detergent into the stained area.
  3. Wash the item in warm water on a delicate cycle.
  4. If stain remains, try using white vinegar or lemon juice as a pre-treatment before laundering.
  5. If stain still persists after laundering, try soaking the fabric in a mixture of laundry detergent and warm water for 30 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
  6. For particularly stubborn stains, use a stain remover specifically designed for removing barbecue sauce stains.
  7. Once stain has gone, launder item as usual.

Tips

  • Be sure to test any product or stain remover on a small, hidden area of the fabric first to check for any color loss or damage.
  • Check the care label on your garment to make sure you’re washing it correctly.
  • If you can, avoid ironing over the stained area until you’re sure it has gone completely.
