Guipure lace is a lightweight, sheer fabric that adds a touch of elegance to clothing, curtains and other textiles. But because guipure lace is often dry-clean only, it can be challenging to remove stubborn stains like barbecue sauce.

Instructions for Removing Barbecue Sauce Stains from Guipure Lace

Follow these steps to safely and effectively remove barbecue sauce stains from guipure lace.

  1. Blot the stain with paper towels.
  2. Mix a solution of cool water and a mild detergent.
  3. Using a soft, clean cloth or sponge, soak the stain in the detergent solution for 10 minutes.
  4. Rinse the area with cold water.
  5. If the stain is still present, apply a small amount of hydrogen peroxide.
  6. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes, then rinse again with cold water.
  7. Blot with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  8. Leave to air dry.

Additional Tips

  • Avoid using hot water, as it can set stain and make it harder to remove.
  • Do not rub the stained area, as this can cause additional wear and tear on the fabric.
  • For best results, have the item professionally dry-cleaned before attempting to remove stain yourself.
