Step 1: Pre-Treat the Stain

The first step in removing barbecue sauce from your gloves is to pre-treat the stain. The most effective way to do this is to use a spot cleaner or a laundry detergent that contains enzymes like OxiClean or Tide. Simply spray or rub the stain remover onto stained area, wait for a few minutes, and then rinse off with cold water.

Step 2: Wash with Detergent and Hot Water

Once you have pre-treated the stain, you can move on to washing the gloves. For best results, use a mild laundry detergent and hot water. If possible, use the delicate cycle on your washing machine. If gloves are too large to fit in the machine, you can hand wash them in the sink. If you do so, be sure to use a scrub brush to agitate the detergent into the fabric fibers.

Step 3: Rinse Thoroughly and Air Dry

Once the gloves have been adequately washed, you can rinse out any remaining detergent. Be sure to use cold water to rinse, as hot water can cause the stains to set in. Once the gloves have been rinsed, air dry them away from direct sunlight.
