Step-by-Step Process for Removing BBQ Sauce Stains from Curtains
- Use a butter knife or spoon to gently scrape away any excess BBQ sauce from the fabric, making sure not to rub any of it into the material.
- Mix a small amount of dishwashing liquid with warm water, then use a toothbrush to scrub the remaining stain with the solution.
- If the stain remains, try soaking the spot with white vinegar for 5-10 minutes.
- Rinse the area with cold water.
- Mix together equal parts white vinegar and baking soda and apply it to the stain.
- Blot the spot with a white cloth or sponge and rinse the cloth with cold water in between blots.
- Continue blotting and rinsing until the stain is gone.
- Do a final rinse of the area using cold water.
- Allow the fabric to air dry or dry with a cool iron.
