It happens to best of us: you're enjoying that delicious barbecue sauce and some of it ends up on your down jacket. But don't despair, getting out barbecue sauce stains from a down jacket is a lot simpler than you think if you have the right approach!

What You'll Need
- Dish detergent
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Microfiber cloth
- Laundry detergent
Instructions
- Start by checking the label of down jacket to figure out what kind of fabric it is made of.
- Create a mix of dish detergent and warm water and put some of it on the stained area.
- Rub the detergent in gently with a microfiber cloth.
- Rinse detergent from the stained area with cold water.
- If the stain still remains, create a mix of baking soda and warm water and apply it to the stained area.
- Rub mixture into the fabric gently and let it sit for a few minutes.
- Rinse with cold water again.
- If the stain is still present, use a mixture of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide and rub it into fabric.
- Allow to sit for a few minutes and rinse with cold water.
- Wash jacket in the washing machine with laundry detergent.
