When it comes to getting rid of barbecue sauce stains, the best way to start is by using a paper towel or a napkin to blot the stain. Doing this will help absorb any excess sauce that is still on the surface of the chiffon. You want to make sure that you don’t rub paper towel or napkin onto the fabric because that can spread the sauce around and make stain bigger.
Once you’ve blotted up some of the sauce, you’ll want to create a cleaning solution for the stained area. The best way to do this is by mixing a teaspoon of dish soap with a cup of warm water. Once you’ve created your cleaning solution, use a clean cloth or sponge to gently scrub the stained area with the mixture. Make sure to be careful not to scrub too hard or you could ruin the delicate fabric.
If the stain isn’t completely gone after the initial scrubbing, you can try repeating the process. However, if the stain still won’t come out, it may be time to take it to a dry cleaner for professional treatment.
