To begin your stain removal process, you will need following materials: a soft cloth, a bowl of warm water, a mild detergent, a couple of paper towels, and a white vinegar solution.
Start by pre-treating the stained area with a white vinegar solution. Combine one part white vinegar and two parts warm water in a bowl and stir together. Dampen a soft cloth with the solution and dab at the stained area gently until it is saturated. Leave the vinegar solution on for up to 10 minutes. This will help loosen and lift the BBQ sauce from the fabric.
Once the stained area has been saturated with the vinegar solution, it’s time to use the mild detergent. Mix some mild detergent with warm water in a bowl. Dip a soft cloth into solution and then dab at the stained area. Use a back and forth motion to scrub away the BBQ sauce. Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with clean water.
After rinsing the area with clean water, you should blot the area dry with a few paper towels. Keep pressing the paper towels onto area until it is completely dry. Be sure not to rub the area too hard while drying, as this may cause stain to reappear.
Once area is dry, let it air dry for several hours before putting your shoes back on. This will ensure that the BBQ sauce stain has been completely removed and the area is dry and clean.
