The first step in getting rid of BBQ sauce stains from baking dishes is to pre-treat stain. Use a cloth or paper towel to blot up as much of the stain as possible, then mix up a mixture of warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Liberally apply this mixture to the stained area and gently scrub with a soft-bristled brush. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing off with clean water.
For tougher stains, you may want to use a stronger method. Create a paste out of baking soda and water, and spread it over the stained area. Allow it to sit for about 15 minutes before gently scrubbing with a brush. You can also try using undiluted white vinegar and a cloth to scrub the stain away.
After you've removed the BBQ sauce stain, it's important to thoroughly rinse baking dish and make sure all of the cleaning agents have been removed. To prevent future stains, make sure to keep the baking dish covered while storing after each use.
