When it comes to having a good time, nothing beats enjoying a delicious backyard barbecue! Unfortunately, things don't always go as planned and sometimes, when you least expect it, a barbecue sauce stain can sneak its way onto your apron. Before you know it, you're out there scrubbing away, yet stubborn sauce stain won't budge from fabric.

But don't fear, because there are some tried and true tips that will help you take the stain out of the apron without damaging the fabric. Here are a few of our favorites:

  • Mix 1 part distilled white vinegar to 5 parts cold water. This natural mixture is one of best solutions for removing difficult stains, such as barbecue sauce.
  • Gently blot the affected area of the fabric with an absorbent cloth or paper towel. Don't rub the stain, as this can cause it to spread and make the situation worse.
  • Once you've absorbed as much sauce as possible, dip a new cloth into the vinegar and water mixture and gently dab the stain. Blot until all of the stain has been removed.
  • Finally, wash the apron in your washing machine on the hottest temperature setting for the fabric with a mild detergent. If necessary, you may even opt to use a color-safe bleach to help banish the stain.

With these tips, you should be able to get those barbecue sauce stains out of your apron with minimal effort. Just be sure to follow the steps carefully and always check the manufacturer's instructions for proper care and maintenance of the garment.
