Summer barbecues can often result in some less than desirable stains on your favorite Abaya. Don't panic though, as with the right techniques and products, those BBQ sauce stains can be successfully removed! Here's how to do it:

  • Pre-treat: The first step is to sprinkle on some stain remover powder, taking care not to rub it in too much or it may cause discoloration. Leave it to sit for 10-15 minutes.
  • Wash: In a basin of warm water, mix in some laundry detergent with enzymes and soak garment for at least 30 minutes. This will help break down and emulsify grease from the BBQ sauce.
  • Rinse: After soaking, rinse the item in cold water, making sure to check for any remaining stains. If there are still visible marks, repeat steps 1 and 2.
  • Dry: Once the BBQ sauce stain has been removed, hang the Abaya up in the shade to dry and air out.

These steps should help you clean off BBQ sauce stains from your Abaya and keep it looking good as new!
