What You Need
- Rubbing alcohol
- Soft cloth
- Cotton swab
- Lint rollers
How to Clean Adhesive Tape Stains
- Begin by pouring some rubbing alcohol onto a soft cloth. Don't apply it directly onto wallet as it may damage the material.
- Gently rub the cloth on the affected areas of wallet. The adhesive tape stains should start to lift from the material.
- If some of residue is still present, use a cotton swab dampened with rubbing alcohol to clean off any remaining residue.
- Once all the stains have been removed, use a lint roller to pick up any remaining pieces of adhesive.
- Let the wallet dry completely before using it again.
Tips for Cleaning Sticky Residue
- It's best to treat adhesive stains as soon as possible. The longer they sit, the harder it will be to remove them.
- Be careful when using rubbing alcohol since it can damage certain materials. Make sure to test it on a hidden area first.
- If above method doesn't work, try using a stronger cleaning solution such as nail polish remover.
