Materials Needed
You'll need following materials in order to get adhesive residue off of tussah:
- Vinegar
- Baking soda
- Water
- Soap
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Q-Tips
Instructions
- Use a damp cloth or sponge to gently remove the adhesive residue.
- Mix vinegar and baking soda together to make a paste. Apply to the adhesive residue and let sit for fifteen to thirty minutes.
- Rinse the surface with water.
- If the residue is still present, use a soap or rubbing alcohol solution to loosen it.
- Scrub the area gently with a Q-tip or toothbrush.
- Rinse the surface again with water to remove any remaining residue.
Tips
- Be sure to test the cleaning solutions on an inconspicuous part of the fabric before applying to the visible area.
- For tougher stains, gently scrub with a nail brush.
- Always air dry the fabric after cleaning.
