When you have adhesive tape stuck on your trench coat, it may seem like an impossible task to remove it without damaging your coat. But with a few simple steps, you’ll be able to remove the adhesive tape and bring back your trench coat’s original shine. Here’s what you need to do:

  • Start by getting some warm, soapy water and filling a bowl or bucket with it. If your coat is washable, you can also use your washing machine.
  • Grab a pair of scissors and gently cut away any excess tape from the fabric. Make sure not to press too hard, as this could damage the coat.
  • Take the soapy water and soak a cloth into it. Wring out the cloth and dab the wet area on your coat with it. The water should help to loosen the adhesive.
  • Gently scrub the affected area in circular motions, using the soapy water-dampened cloth. Keep doing this until you’ve removed all traces of adhesive.
  • Rinse cloth and repeat process if necessary. You can also try using rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover to break down the adhesive quicker, but make sure to use precautions and read the instructions first.
  • Once you’ve successfully removed all traces of adhesive, air-dry your coat or use a blow-dryer on the lowest setting.

Following these steps can help you get rid of adhesive tape stains from your trench coat with ease. Don’t forget to keep your coat clean and protected from stains, and you’ll be able to enjoy wearing it for years to come!
