Removing Sticky Tape from Slippers

The first step is to take off as much of tape as possible from the area where you want to clean up. Try using tweezers, or a butter knife if you don’t have any. Once all the visible pieces have been removed, you can move on to the next step.

Gently Groom Off All Residue

Using a soft-bristled brush, gently go over the affected area of the slippers. This will help to break up any remaining residue. Make sure to go slowly and be gentle to avoid damaging the material.

Soaking the Slippers in a Mixture of Water and White Vinegar

Once all the visible residue has been removed, you can begin to soak the slippers in a mix of warm water and white vinegar. The acidity of vinegar helps to break down the adhesive more easily. Let the slippers soak for around 10 minutes, then rinse them in cold water.

Clean Up Any Remaining Residue with Baking Soda

If there is still some residue left after soaking, try using a mixture of baking soda and water to remove it. Apply the paste to the area with an old toothbrush, and let it sit for several minutes. Afterwards, rinse the slippers off in cold water.

Giving Your Slippers a Final Rinse

Once all residue is gone, give the slippers one last rinse in cold water to make sure all the cleaning agents have been removed. You can then leave the slippers out to dry or put them in the washing machine according to their care instructions.
