Start by turning the skirt inside out to avoid damaging the fabric. This also allows for better access to stained area. Next, lay skirt flat on an old towel on a hard surface.

Using a brush or scrubby sponge, begin scrubbing the stained area with scalding hot water. Add a small amount of detergent or stain remover if desired. Continue scrubbing until the stain begins to fade away. If the stain is still visible, repeat the process.

If the stain persists, try applying rubbing alcohol directly onto the stained area. Again, using a brush or scrubby sponge, scrub the area until the stain has completely disappeared. Be sure to scrub entire skirt to ensure the color does not become discolored.

To prevent further staining, test the rubbing alcohol in a small, unseen corner of the skirt before proceeding. To finish up, rinse the skirt in cool water and hang it out to dry.

By following the steps outlined above, you can have your skirt looking as good as new in no time. Don't let adhesive tape stains ruin your wardrobe any longer!
