Gently remove as much of the adhesive tape as you can from the fabric without causing any damage to silk material. You can do this using a dull knife or an object with a flat edge, like a credit card. Avoid using sharp objects as it might snag the material and cause more damage to the fabric.
Once you’ve removed all of the visible adhesive residue, use a damp cloth to apply cold water or mild detergent to the affected area. This should help soften any remaining adhesive that was left behind. Use gentle pressure to rub the fabric while blotting the area continuously with the damp cloth. If there is still adhesive residue left behind, repeat this process until residue is completely gone.
Once the adhesive residue is successfully removed, use a clean, damp cloth to rinse away any leftover detergent. Be sure to dry the area with a towel right away, and then lay the fabric out in a well-ventilated area to completely air-dry. Do not leave the fabric in direct sunlight as this can cause discoloration and damage to the fabric.
