Spray the sticky residue on the stain with hairspray. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes before wiping off any excess residue with a clean cloth.
Soak a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol and gently dab onto the stain. Repeat this process until all of the adhesive has been removed.
Place the fabric inside a plastic bag and iron over the affected area. This will help to soften the adhesive residue so that it can be easily wiped away.
Once the adhesive residue has been removed, wash the fabric with laundry detergent and warm water. Allow the fabric to air dry before using again.
