Use Soap and Water

The first step to removing adhesive tape stains from rayon is to create a cleaning solution using mild soap and warm water. Mix the two ingredients together in order to create a sudsy solution. Then, use a clean cloth to apply the solution onto the stained area, gently rubbing it in. After a few minutes of scrubbing, rinse off the solution with warm water and then blot dry with a clean cloth.

Vinegar Solution

If the stain is still present after using the soap and water solution, try a solution of vinegar and water. Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water in a bowl and then dip a clean cloth into it. Apply the vinegar solution to the stained area and then scrub it in for a few minutes. Once the stain has been removed, rinse it off with warm water and then blot dry with a clean cloth.

Rubbing Alcohol

If the previous methods don't work, you can try using rubbing alcohol to remove stubborn adhesive tape stains from rayon. Put some rubbing alcohol onto a clean cloth and then dab it onto the stained area. Rub the cloth around for a few minutes and then rinse off the rubbing alcohol with warm water. Finally, blot dry with a clean cloth.

Prevention

To prevent adhesive tape stains from forming on rayon, avoid using any type of tape or adhesive product when working with this fabric. If you must use tape, make sure to use an acid-free variety. Additionally, always set aside plenty of time for completely drying and pressing the garment after applying tape.
