The first thing you need to do is remove any excess adhesive residue as it will make cleaning process more difficult. To do this, use an old toothbrush to scrub away adhesive. You can also try using a paper towel to soak up as much of the adhesive as possible.
Once you have removed as much of adhesive as you can, take a clean cloth and dampen it with some warm water. Gently rub the cloth over affected area to help break up the adhesive and loosen it from surface.
Now that you have loosened up the adhesive, it's time to apply a cleaning solution. The best way to do this is to mix a tablespoon of white vinegar with a cup of warm water. Dip a soft cloth into the mixture and then rub the cloth on the affected area. This will help remove the adhesive from the surface.
After you have applied the cleaning solution and let it sit for a few minutes, it's time to rinse it off. Take a clean cloth and dampen it with some warm water. Use this cloth to gently wipe away cleaning solution and any remaining adhesive residue.
By following these 4 simple steps, you can easily clean off any adhesive tape stains on your Oxford shoes. With a bit of elbow grease, you can make those pesky stains a thing of past.
