Gather the Correct Supplies

The trick to cleaning adhesive tape stains is to use right supplies. You'll need some liquid dish soap, baking soda, white vinegar, a sponge or cloth, and a toothbrush.

Step One: Pretreat Stain

Mix equal parts of liquid dish soap and white vinegar together in a bowl. Use the sponge or cloth to apply the mixture to the stain. Rub the stain until it starts to dissipate. Let the mixture sit on the stain for 10 minutes.

Step Two: Scrub Stain Away

Take toothbrush and dip it into a bowl of baking soda. Use the toothbrush to scrub the stain gently. Be sure to be careful not to damage the fabric of the overalls. If stain doesn't come out with the baking soda, you can repeat pretreatment step and try again.

Step Three: Rinse and Dry

Once stain has been removed, rinse the area with cold water. Pat area dry with a cloth or paper towel and let the overalls air dry.
