Gather Your Supplies

Start by gathering the materials you’ll need. To accomplish this task, you will need:

  • A clean microfiber cloth
  • Warm water
  • Mild detergent

Create an Appropriate Solution

Once you have the supplies, mix mild detergent with warm water in a bowl. Make sure not to use too much detergent, or else the solution might be too harsh for the fabric.

Apply the Solution

Use your clean microfiber cloth to dip into detergent and water mixture, and then wring it out so that it’s damp. Gently rub the affected area of the dress with the cloth, working it back and forth until sticky residue begins to loosen.

Rinse with Clean Water

Once the adhesive has been removed, rinse area with clean water. Use the damp microfiber cloth to remove any remaining soap residue.

Air Dry the Area

After the garment has been rinsed, leave it to air dry. Do not use a hairdryer or other heat sources to speed up the drying process, as this could damage fabric.
