Step 1: Make a Cleaning Solution

You'll need to make a cleaning solution using a mixture of white vinegar and cold water. Start by filling a bowl with a cup of white vinegar and two cups of cold water. Mix the ingredients together until they are well combined.

Step 2: Soak the Linen

Place the stained item of linen in the vinegar and water mixture. Allow it to soak for at least 15 minutes. This will help to loosen the adhesive and make it easier to remove.

Step 3: Scrub and Rinse

Next, remove the linen from the bowl and use a scrub brush and hot water to scrub off the adhesive. Be sure to be firm but gentle in order to not cause any further damage to the linen. Finally, rinse the item of linen with cold water, and then hang it up to air dry.
