No matter how careful you are while shopping, it is inevitable that adhesive tape stains will occur on headbands. Although they can be unsightly and embarrassing, getting rid of them doesn't have to be difficult. Here's a simple method to cleaning adhesive tape stains off headbands.
Carefully remove as much of the adhesive tape as possible. If there are any pieces of tape that are firmly stuck on the headband, use tweezers to remove them. Be sure not to damage material in the process.
Fill a bucket or bowl with warm water and soak the headband in it for about 10 minutes. This will help to soften up the adhesive and make it easier to remove. After 10 minutes, remove the headband from the water and check if any of adhesive has come off. If not, repeat this step.
Apply a small amount of a stain remover, such as rubbing alcohol, onto the affected area. Gently rub the remover into the stained area until the adhesive starts to lift. Be sure not to scrub too hard as this can damage the fabric.
Once you're satisfied that the adhesive has been removed, rinse the headband in clean, cold water. This will help to remove any residue from the cleaner and prepare the headband for drying.
Lay the headband flat on a towel and allow it to air dry. Once it is completely dry, you will have a headband that is free of adhesive tape stains!
