The first step is to gently rub adhesive tape stains on the hat with a soft cloth or a paper towel. This will help remove some of adhesive residue, making the stains easier to remove. Be sure to use a light touch and not scrub too hard, as this could damage the fabric of hat.
Once the adhesive tape stains have been rubbed off as much as possible, you will need to soak the hat for a few minutes in a basin of warm water mixed with a mild detergent. After soaking, gently scrub the affected areas with an old toothbrush or a soft-bristled brush. Rinse with warm water afterwards and then let the hat air dry.
If the adhesive tape stains are still not completely removed after soaking and scrubbing, you can use a dry cleaning solvent. Place a small amount of the solvent onto a soft cloth and gently rub the stain. Be sure to read and follow the directions on the product carefully.
Finally, once the adhesive tape stains have been removed, you will need to vacuum the hat in order to get rid of any remaining particles. Be sure to use a low setting on vacuum in order to avoid doing any damage to the hat.
With the steps outlined above, you should be able to successfully remove any stubborn adhesive tape stains from your hat. As long as you do this carefully and follow our directions closely, your hat should look good as new in no time!
