Georgette is a very light and sheer fabric made of silk or synthetic fibre. It has a crinkled surface and was first created in France in the early 20th century.
Take a damp cloth or sponge and dab the stained area gently. Be careful not to rub the fabric too hard or you might cause more damage.
Mix a few drops of mild liquid detergent into a bowl of warm water. Soak a clean cloth or sponge in it and then apply it to the stained area. Let it sit for a few minutes.
Rinse off the detergent by dabbing the area with a cloth that has been soaked in cold water.
Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a bow. Soak a clean cloth in it and apply it to the stained area. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water.
If the stain is still there, try using a laundry stain remover. Follow the directions on the package and apply it to the stained area. Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse it off with cold water.
Adhesive tape stains can be difficult to remove from Georgette. However, by following steps outlined above, you should be able to easily and successfully get rid of any sticky tape stains from your fabric.
