It’s easy to accumulate adhesive tape residue on your ear plugs if you often use them in the same location or store them improperly. This can cause the earplugs to become gooey and messy, making them difficult to re-use.
The first step in cleaning off adhesive tape residue is to soak the earplugs in a bowl of warm, soapy water for a few minutes. This will help dissolve the sticky residue so it’s easier to remove.
Once the earplugs have soaked, use a soft cloth to gently scrub away sticky residue. Be sure to not scrub too hard, as this could damage the earplugs.
When the residue has been removed, rinse the earplugs and then dry them with a clean, soft cloth. Make sure the earplugs are completely dry before you put them away.
Cleaning adhesive tape residue from earplugs doesn’t have to be a chore. With a few simple steps, you can have them looking like new in no time.
