The first step is to use a soft brush or cloth to gently remove any pieces of tape that are still stuck to your clog. Use short strokes and light pressure to avoid damaging the material.
Now you’ll want to apply some dish soap to the affected area of the clog. Rub the soap into the stain in a circular motion. You don’t need to use too much. The soap should help break down the glue from the tape.
Once you’ve applied the soap, rinse it off with lukewarm water. This will help remove any remaining soap and start to loosen up the glue.
Next, mix equal parts of white vinegar and baking soda to create a paste. Apply paste to the stain and let it sit for about 15 minutes. The vinegar and baking soda mixture will act as a gentle abrasive and help break down the adhesive.
Finally, use a damp paper towel or soft cloth to wipe away the vinegar and baking soda paste. You may need to repeat the process a few times to completely remove the stain. If the stain persists, then you may need to use a more powerful cleaner.
By following these simple steps, you can easily clean adhesive tape stains from your clogs. With the right tools and a little bit of elbow grease, you can keep your clogs looking good as new!
